Jan 11- Bloom Summer Camp
BOP’s annual summer camp is a place where a multitude of cultures converge and mix. For current BOP tutors, it’s an opportunity to meet the students they teach. For students in rural communities of China, it’s a chance for them to interact with foreigners and improve their English. But for everyone, BOP’s summer camp is a place where campers can learn from each other, make friends, and have the best unsupervised fun they’ve had in the under 18 years of their existence!!! (All jokes aside, BOP’s summer camp is supervised by a large team of adult volunteers and older youth volunteers.)
Student tutors and volunteers travel from all over the world to participate in our program. Set in rural regions of China such as Liangshan and Lijiang, campers and adult volunteers alike are transported to living conditions they previously may not have had encounters with.
Motto: Be a better self
What we do (general):
participate in a sleep away camp in which we meet, teach, and socialize with students
Camp is usually held in a more rural area of China, previous years were held in Lijiang and Liangshan
